Cabo San Lucas Surfing
The great thing about Los Cabos for surfers is that they can enjoy both the summer and winter wave action. Many surfers from California venture to Cabo to enjoy the surfing there.
Now if you are a surfer and you are looking for the quickest place to get to surf in Cabo, the best place to go is the Cabo Surf Hotel (appropriately named) also, right in front the hotel is very good spot for surfing, ideally for long boarders. The Cabo Surf Hotel is on the Highway just 8 minutes from downtown San Jose and 20 minutes from Cabo San Lucas. This hotel also offers a surf school, surf shop and the beautiful Playa Acapulquito beach.
Now, if you don't want to stay at the best surf hotel in the entire Los Cabos, there are other options. But, you should probably know about the best spots to surf! You can see the quick list on the right. The list is so of the more well known destinations but, an avid surfer should be able to find some of the more private places quite easily.
You can find equipment (if you don't have your own) at the many surf shops you can find around downtown Cabo San Lucas and San Jose. There are also a few places that have instructors if you are new to surfing. The best place to ask is around the beaches as usually there are many vendors there.
